American singer, actress, producer and model Whitney Houston sadly died on Saturday at a Los Angeles Hotel aged just 48. Often regarded as one of the most talented female artists of all time, she is also the only artist to have had seven consecutive number 1 songs in the "Billboard Hot 100" and has sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide.During her career, Whitney Houston picked up over 415 awards, including 2 Emmy Awards, 6 Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards and 22 American Music Awards, according to Guinness World Records she is the "most awarded female artist of all time", and was ranked 116th in VH1's "200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons of All Time".
To her millions of fans, Whitney Houston was a musical genius and over the years had massive success with songs such as "Saving All My Love For You", "I Will Always Love You", "So Emotional", "Greatest Love Of All", "I'm Your Baby Tonight", "All The Man That I Need" and "Exhale".
In 1992 she took to the big screen for the first time, taking the lead role in the romantic-thriller movie "The Bodyguard", in which she played Oscar-nominated music superstar "Rachel Marron", she appeared along side Kevin Costner who played former Secret Service Agent "Frank Farmer", employed by Rachel's family to protect her from a creepy stalker who's following her around and making death threats (a great movie if you have not seen it).
