Rooney lashed out at Miodrag Dzudovic in the 2-2 draw in Podgorica after appearing frustrated with losing the ball.
A simple kick in the back of the leg has earned him nothing but a sideline view of the tournaments early stages.
As it stands the FA have said they will again appeal. Having already attempted to reduce the three match prior to the decision being made, we don't see there being much hope for Rooney's ban to be reduced.
As a youngster, Wayne was known for his fiery temper and anger when playing football but as time has gone on, his attitude has improved and his footballing ability has only seen him get better. Why on earth would someone of his experience and calibre not have the initiative to NOT commit an obvious red card offence?
England needed just a point from the game to secure qualification and at that point were winning. His red card could of made things alot more difficult than they were.
So, maybe the ban will be lifted or lessoned but in the meantime, let's hope Wayne learns from his lesson and hope that he wears his England shirt with pride in future.
