The Sales of Vinyl LP's hit an all time high for at least six years, according to the Official Charts Company, more than 240,000 Vinyls have been sold so far this year, compared that to 234,000 Vinyls sold in the whole of 2010. The total number sold is expected to hit 300,000 by the end of the year.

In 1975 vinyl's sales were at the highest recorded point of popularity, with over 91 million being sold that year.

Experts say that it's due to music releases from the likes of artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Adele, Beady Eye, PJ Harvey and Radiohead.
