The Swedish pair, Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, recently took a break from the world of music while Marie recovered from a brain tumour operation in 2002. However, they are now back with a vengeance and will be coming to the UK for the first time in seventeen years for their new tour. The band will be performing their 80s classics such as "Must Have Been Love", "Joyride", "The Look", "Listen To Your Heart", "How Do You Do", "Sleeping In My Car" and "Dressed For Success", as well as their latest hits from new album "Charm School".
"Charm School" was released in March and went straight in at No.1 on the German, Czech and Swiss album charts, the week of the release, reaching platinum status in Sweden. With 33 chart-busting singles to their name since their beginning in the late 70s and with total record sales of 75 million, the show promises to be a must-see.
Roxette will play the LG Arena, which is one of the UK's biggest and best live entertainment venues, hosting world class music, sport and comedy events throughout the year. Over the years, it has welcomed the likes of U2, Queen, The Killers, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Take That. To find out more about the LG Arena and the show, visit www.lgarena.co.uk.
Tickets for Roxette go on sale at 9am on Friday 18 November, priced at £35 (subject to booking and transaction fees). They will be available from The Ticket Factory: www.theticketfactory.com or 0844 338 8000.
