American R&B singer Chris Brown is currently the trending topic on Twitter where users are posting "RIP Chris Brown", but fear not Chris is not dead, no it's just his career that everyone is burying. The 22-year old effectively shot himself down when he lashed out on Twitter at those who didn't agree with the Grammy Award he won and his performance at the awards.Celebrities like Jack Osbourne, actor Wil Wheaton and Miranda Lambert tweeted about Browns award who in turn threw a Twitter tantrum, tweeting: "Strange how we pick and choose who to hate. Let me ask u this," he began. "Our society is full of rappers (which I listen to) who have sold drugs (poisoning), .... But yet we glorify them and imitate everything they do. Then right before the worlds eyes a man shows how he can make a Big mistake and learn from it, but still has to deal with day to day hatred! You guys love to hate!!! But guess what???" HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY. Now! That's the ultimate F**K OFF."
The Recording Academy honoured Brown with the Best R&B Album award but Twitter users are far from happy. They do not want to recognise any talent Brown may have because of his assault in 2009 on ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
"RIP Chris Brown is absolutely hilarious to me!!! I died for 10 minutes. Maybe he should stop hitting girls and Twitter wouldn't kill him lol," tweeted one user. Another asked: "Does the 'RIP' in the trending 'RIP Chris Brown' stand for 'recklessly injure people'?"
Brown admitted that he was guilty of the assault charges but did not serve any jail time. He was instead ordered to do five years' probation, 1,400 hours of labour-based community service and 52 weeks of domestic violence counselling. Brown didn't learn from his "big mistake" after beating Rihanna black and blue leaving her bleeding, instead he turned his violence on to the public with his outbursts and brazen disrespect for those who put him where he is.
In March 2011 Brown did an interview with "Good Morning America", when he was questioned about his assault on Rihanna, Brown turned violent becoming irate and went into an off-stage rage in which he smashed a window with a chair and stormed out of the studio after taking his shirt off.
Continuing to prove that he is immature and dangerously impulsive, Brown must face the fact that the public no longer welcome his bad boy persona. Perhaps Brown has already realised the damage he has and is doing to his career as his tweets were quickly deleted but not soon enough for it to have an effect on his reputation. There are currently only 10 tweets left on his whole twitter account, he responded by tweeting "Be HAPPY" this morning.
