It's the moment all you Spidey fans have been waiting for... a new trailer for "The Amazing Spider-man" movie has been released. Directed by the amazing Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer), the movie is currently in the production stage and is being filmed entirely in 3D, it's set for cinema release on the 3rd of July 2012.The movie stars Andrew Garfield (The Social Network, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus) as Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man, Emma Stone (Superbad, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past) as Peter Parkers high school classmate and love interest Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Notting Hill) as evil villain Dr Curt Connors AKA The Lizard, it's been written by James Vanderbilt (The Losers), Alvin Sargent (Other People's Money) and Steve Kloves (Harry Potter).
This edition to the Spider-man franchise finds Peter Parker discovering a clue that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young, and this puts Peter on a collision course with Dr Curt Connors, his father's former partner.
This is the fourth Columbia Pictures film based on the Marvel Comics character by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, and the first film in a rebooted Spider-Man film franchise.
Despite not yet being released, plans are already in place for a sequel to be released in 2014 and screenwriter Vanderbilt has been hired to write the screenplay
