Dark Comedy "Young Adult" is set to be released in UK Cinemas on the 3rd of February, and it has already received positive reviews from the critics after it was released in the US last year on the 9th of December.It stars South African actress Charlize Theron (Mighty Joe Young, The Italian Job) as Mavis Gary, Patton Oswalt (The King of Queens, Ratatouille) as Matt Freehauf and Patrick Wilson (Watchmen, The A-Team) as Buddy Slade, it has been Directed by Jason Reitman (Thank You for Smoking, Juno) and has been written by Diablo Cody (Jennifer's Body, United States of Tara).
The movie follows Mavis Gary, a writer of teen literature who returns to her small hometown of Mercury, Minnesota to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart Buddy Slade. When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms an unusual bond with a former classmate Matt Freehauf who hasn't quite gotten over high school, either.
Young Adult looks like an extremely funny and enjoyable movie and the website Rotten Tomatoes has already received 81% positive reviews from movie fans.
