Sony's Music Unlimited service was launched by Sony in December 2010

Sony Entertainment have announced that their cloud based digital music streaming service "Music Unlimited" will now be made available worldwide for Sony Tablets running Google's Android platform.

The Music Unlimited service was launched by Sony in December 2010 and initially was available only to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, it launched to the United States at the start of 2011 and rolled out into most of Europe at the end of January 2011, currently they have over 7 million songs available to subscribers.

To subscribe to the Music Unlimited service costs £3.99 for Basic subscription and £9.99 for the Premium subscription, although they're offering a 30 day free trial (so hurry).

In a statement, the President of Sony Entertainment Tim Schaaff said "The launch of the Music Unlimited service on Sony Tablet marks one of our many significant steps to satisfying the mobile demands of our current consumers while opening up our Cloud-based music service to completely new audiences".
