Molly Bedingfield & Doug Pitt to visit Tanzania

A US TV company will also be going on the trip who will be filming a documentary

In the next few weeks Global Angels founder Molly Bedingfield is set to visit Tanzania in Africa, along with "Goodwill Ambassador for United Republic of Tanzania" Doug Pitt.

During the trip, Molly will also be visiting the project where the new Miley Cyrus well is just being completed.

They will be visiting water and health projects in Tanzania and trying to develop a direct partnership with Maji-TechEngineering, a Water drilling company based at Arusha in Tanzania, founded in 2002, it has provided safe drinking water for over 1.25 million people in East Africa.

A US TV company will also be going on the trip who will be filming a documentary on the water issues in Africa, we will try and bring you more details about the documentary at a later date.

Molly has also promised to pledge a percentage of her income every month to provide safe drinking water to the poorest communities in the world saying "I'm looking forward to seeing how many families and whole villages will be transformed by my gifts over the next years and it's so exciting to have my gifts match funded. If you would like to join me in giving a one off donation or pledging a monthly amount which will benefit from the match funding".

Because of the work of the Global Angels supporters, since the beginning of the year, 11 new/refurbished water points have been provided in Northern Mozambique, an area where access to water is a huge issue and the infant mortality rate is over 30%.

Through a partnership with the Nema Foundation, Global Angels have funded 40 water wells in the region and another 8 to come over the next few months, giving a further 12 villages access to safe drinking water - that's an amazing 33,000 people provided with clean, safe drinking water in that area.

Communities have also been given water training sessions to teach them how to maintain the water wells and ensure the aim of long-term sustainability for each community they work with. The Nema Foundation is one of Global Angels 100% partner projects and a 2011 Angel Award winner.
