
Based in part on true events, the story is set in 1950's Washington, D.C where an ambitious female reporter is on a dangerous trail, filled with murder, politics and conspiracy as she sets out to expose a UFO cover up. She soon becomes trapped between warring factions within the highest level of the U.S. government and risks everything to learn the truth. "Its tone and style are reminiscent of Mad Men and Close Encounters of the Third Kind but with a strong, unique female lead," said Ms. Melocchi.
Garris is a thirty year veteran of film and television. Best known for his long association with Stephen King which began in 1992 when Garris directed King's original screenplay, Sleepwalker. Most recently, Garris directed A&E's highly rated, Stephen King's Bag of Bones, starring Pierce Brosnan. Garris is represented by Paradigm and Echo Lake.
Alexia Melocchi and Alexandra Yacovlef , the partners in Little Studio Films are industry veterans, having sold over 100 American movies for theatrical international distribution clients through their company Axelia International Pictures. Little Studio Film's mission is to create a bridge between the international film community and American talent. LSF just completed production of Stealing Roses, starring John Heard (Entourage, Home Alone).
Little Studio Films will also be presenting the project, Ferrara's first production, at the L.A. Screenings.
Casting Director Ferne Cassel (Taken) currently has the script out to actors for a scheduled fall 2012 shoot.
