Madonna get booed at her movie Premier

Fans had waited for hours to catch a glimpse of their idol

Madonna made an appearance on Sunday night at the Empire Cinema in Leicester Square for the red carpet premiere of her new movie W.E. As she entered the cinema, the sound of boos could be heard coming from her fans in the crowd.

Some fans had waited for hours to catch a glimpse of their idol and were left disappointed and let down when Madonna spoke to only a handful of people before disappearing in to the cinema.

W.E. is a romantic drama, which was directed by Madonna and it looks at the romance between King Edward VIII, played by James D'Arcy, and Wallis Simpson played by Andrea Riseborough. It was written by Madonna and Alek Keshishian, and has already been shown at both the Venice Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.

Her response to the boos, "It doesn't matter what the critics think, it's what the public thinks", clearly that shows that Madonna was blind to the fact that it was her fans, the public, who were disapproving of her behaviour and the treatment towards them.

James D'Arcy who plays King Edward VIII said "As a director Madonna is about as prepared a person I've ever worked with".

W.E. is expected to get its UK Cinema release on the 20th January 2012 and you can watch the Official Trailer below;
