"Brains" is the first video from the Baltimore-based Lower Dens' forthcoming album Nootropics. The video directed by Tristan Patterson, recognized for his feature length directorial debut "Dragonslayer" (Grand Jury Prize winner for Best Documentary at SXSW 2011) and featuring band member Jana Hunter, brings to vivid light some of the themes central to Nootropics. The minimalism here is monumental, elements in the music that seem subtle at first soon reveal themselves as colossal developments.

Lower Dens have announced album release shows in London, Brighton and Ireland and will be performing at this year's SXSW festival in the US.
