Lady Gaga to appear in US Cartoon "The Simpsons"

She revealed that a kiss takes place between Marge and herself

Producers of "The Simpsons" have confirmed that singer Lady Gaga has been given a part in US Cartoon.

Gagas real name Stafani Germanotta, who is 25 years old, said doing it was "one of the coolest things" she had ever done.

She revealed that a kiss takes place between Marge and herself, and said "the apple doesn't fall far from my artistic tree".

"The Simpsons" now in its 486 episode and which started out on the "Tracey Ullman Show" on April 19th 1987, has over the years seen many guest stars make an appearance in the show, stars such as Larry King, Michael Jackson, Aerosmith, Sting, Tom Jones, Tom Hanks, Green Day, Stephen Hawking, Barry White and Paul McCartney.

Yeardley Smith who performs the voice of Lisa Simpson said "This is extraordinary!! I am stunned that she has time in her schedule".

In the episode titled "Lady Goes Gaga", Lady Gaga comes to "The Simpsons" hometown of Springfield to cheer up Lisa Simpson, who is suffering from low self-esteem.

The episode will be aired in the US in Spring 2012 and likely to be aired in other countries later that year.
