The Destiny's Child singer flew to Los Angeles earlier this week whilst leaving panicked X Factor chiefs trying to find a replacement for Saturdays show. Miss Rowlands official statement for not being available reads 'Kelly is devastated she won't be here for this weekend's show. She is extremely ill with a viral throat infection and her doctors aren't permitting her to fly'.USA X Factor host Nicole Scherzinger is the favourite to step in to save the show.
It is said that the producers are unimpressed with Miss Rowlands actions leaving them less than 24 hours to find a stand in for her. A source tells the Daily Mail 'Quite honestly, it's expected that the judges would have to be on their death bed to miss a show. The fact that Kelly has a throat infection hardly seems that desperate.'
Following the fall out Miss Rowland, 30, is still not speaking to Miss Contostavlos, 23. The N-Dubz front woman accused Misha Bryan, one of Miss Rowallands hopefuls of being mean to one of her own proteges. Louis Walsh backed Tulisas claims by calling Misha, 19, a 'bully'. He apologised straight after the incident. Since fleeing the studio following the result's an insider has stated that 'Kelly is turning into a real diva, she's been on the phone to all the producers all week moaning about Tulisa's antics.'
It is still denied that Miss Rowland fled the country and the show because of the falling out with a spokesperson saying 'She has not gone AWOL. She will be back. She's been in contact with the girls. She's been on intravenous drips. Her doctor will not permit her to fly. She tried to get on a flight today but her doctor wasn't letting her.'
