The audience were treated to a live performance by Bieber who took to the stage dressed in a high collar white jacket to perform his new track "Under the Mistletoe".
Lady Gaga also picked up an award for "Best International Pop Artist" which was presented by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, Gaga later performed a medley of her hits.
Bieber Tweeted after the awards saying "Had an amazing night at the Bambi Awards here in Germany tonight. Got to meet some great fans too. Thank u for the honour".
A report by "Hollywood Life" said that Bieber has travelled from Paris, where he was enjoying a break with girlfriend Selena Gomez.
The Bambi Awards were presented by Oscar Winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow, held annually, they recognise Excellence in International Media and Television.
