Irksome Irish pop duo Jedward have claimed that they are being lined up to represent Ireland again in the Eurovision Contest next year after being placed 8th place at this years event with their track "Lipstick". Maybe the losing streak that has followed them this year, after also failing to win 2011's Celebrity Big Brother, will end next year with them winning Eurovision.

Next years Eurovision show will come live from Azerbaijan, the country who won this year with their entry "Running Scared" by artists Ell and Nikki.

Jedward have confirmed that Louis Walsh who was their mentor on the X Factor has already planned a song for them to perform at Eurovision 2012 and have high hopes that if chosen they will have greater success.

John Grimes half of the twin duo, said "Guess what? We're gonna be doing Eurovision 2012. It's totally awesome. Next year its gonna be even bigger and better".

The 20 year old Irish twins John & Edward known as Jedward were born in Dublin, Ireland, and got a number 1 hit with their debut single "Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)", featuring Vanilla Ice. Signed to Universal Records the duo have plagued our Television screens since they appeared on the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009.
