Yesterday Amazon officially announced that they would soon be selling the "Kindle Fire" tablet, which will be in direct competition with Apple's own iPad, and at only $199, it's certainly going to be more affordable and should prove a massive hit.
The "Kindle Fire" will run a highly-customized version of the Android operating system, and will be fully loaded with access to Amazon's own online Music, Book and Movie store.
Given that most of Apple's recent success with products such as the iPod, iPhone and iPad has been down to "creating an special experience for the customer", Amazon should have no problem doing the same, something they have already proved with Amazon.com.
Another blow for Apple will come from Samsung, who are likely to seek a European import ban on the iPhone 5 when it's released, this ban by Samsung is likely to have come after Apple imposed a ban of the "Samsung Galaxy" tablet in Europe, claiming it infringed several of Apples own patents.
Samsung say that the Apple iPhone 5 will be infringing several of their own patents, which relate to wireless technologies, and that this could be a huge weapon for the company.
Amazon's Kindle Fire looks amazing and we cannot wait to get our hands on one.
