Golfing Caddie Steve Williams is not a racist

An apology has now come from Williams in relation to the remarks

Former Number 1 Australian Golfer Greg Norman has defended Tiger Wood's ex-caddie Steve Williams, saying his current boss Adam Scott was correct in not sacking Williams over the comments made about former boss Tiger Woods.

It all started last week at the Annual Caddy Awards, held in China, during the awards Steve Williams said "It was my aim to shove it right up that black a******e", which was in reference to Adam Scott's win at the 2011 "WGC-Bridgestone Invitational", which he described as "the best win of my career".

Greg Norman said "He's not a racist, not at all. We've all made stupid comments at stupid times, unfortunately his stupid comment became Global News and I know he probably regrets it".

Williams who is originally from New Zealand was sensationally sacked by Tiger Wood's when he announced on the 20th July 2011 that William's would no longer be his caddy, despite working with him since 1999. It has been estimated that William's earned around $12 Million working for Woods.

An apology has now come from Williams in relation to the remarks, and on Tuesday Tiger Wood's is expected to hold a News Conference in Sydney.
