The show has just finished its 10th series and Seth told a Hollywood reporter that it has been running for too long.
"Part of me thinks that Family Guy should have already ended. I think seven seasons is about right," he said.
"I talk to the fans and in a way I'm kind of secretly hoping for them to say we're done with it," he said.
"There are plenty of people who say the show is kind of over the hill, but still the vast majority go pale in the face when I mention the possibility."
How would you feel? Family guy is one of those love or hate programmes, a bit like the Simpsons. Dark deep humour mixed with brightly coloured characters really does close the world around you away. You enter this childish world of pure immaturity and humour which is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
For Family Guy lovers, there is some good news. A film has been commission and is therefore currently being worked on.
