Comedian David Walliams takes on Doctor Who role

It's hard working with David Walliams because he's constantly making you laugh

Comedian David Walliams is to appear in a new episode of BBC One's Award Winning series Doctor Who.

Walliams who is best known for his roles in the "Little Britain" series will play an Alien mole called Gibbis, in a storyline titled "The God Complex".

His co-star Karen Gillan who plays the character Amy Pond said "It's hard working with David Walliams because he's constantly making you laugh".

Doctor Who is being aired several months apart due to Writer Steven Moffats other commitments writing the TV show "Sherlock Holmes".

We will also see the return of comedian James Corden, who plays the character Craig Owens, Corden is best known for his Role in the Award Winning British TV Series "Gavin and Stacey".

The new series of Doctor Who will start on the 27th of August this year on BBC One.
