Presenters Barney Harwood and Helen Skelton are still on board with the show but recently departed Andy Akinwolere will not be replaced.
Having reached a massive 53 years of being based in London, the BBC felt it was time that they made more of a name for themselves up North.
The MediaCityUK studio complex will play home to the Blue Peter Gardens with the garden being situated on the roof.
Moving the show up North gives producers a fresh lease of life for the show.
Time Levell, the shows editor said, "Underlying everything, Blue Peter has the same values," he said.
"We are about telling younger viewers about things that are interesting to them - that's always been the same. The wrapping is slightly different but the present inside is still the same."
The classic theme tune has been remixed by production duo Banks and Wag. "It is updated," Levell said. "It's got that electro-pop feel."
So make sure you tune in to Blue Peter to see the new studio set up and a slight change of presentation, with special guests.
