Ashton, a former biochemical engineer student at the University of Iwoa, joined the cast of Two and a Half Men this year replacing Charlie Sheen as the lead role. Critics were sceptical of the young actor but they were soon won around with a record massive 28.7 million viewers for his first show beating viewing figures for the past eight series'.
As the star continues to rise with his success in Two and a Half Men, he's become really vague about where - and with whom - he spends his time.
Could this rapid growing interest in Ashton be the reason behind his outlandish behaviour and the ever growing rumours of his split with wife Demi Moore?
The couple stated their relationship in 2003 and Demi 48, who was once married to Bruce Willis and divorced after 13 years of marriage, married Ashton 33 in 2005.
Star magazine is reporting that Demi and Ashton have been having trouble in their marriage for a long time and have finally given up on their relationship and seem be using Twitter to notify the World of their very public breakup.
Amid reports the actor cheated on Moore, the actress tweeted on September 23 US time: "When we are offended at any man's fault, turn to yourself & study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger - Epictetus" (Epictetus was an ancient Greek philosopher).
TheDirty.com claims that the 33-year-old actor had a booze-filled night out in San Diego with friends last Friday when he met blonde student Sara Leal.
Ashton apparently had intimate relations with her at the nearby Hard Rock Hotel where he allegedly revealed to Leal that he and his wife were "separated, but the public just didn't know yet".
Demi used Twitter to post a naked picture of herself with her back facing the camera and eyes closed, saying "I can see through you .... " Other tweets from Demi include "Never mistake activity for achievement - John Wooden," written on September 18 and two days before she posted "Never mistake activity for achievement - John Wooden," she wrote on September 18.
With reports that the pair spent their September 24 sixth wedding anniversary apart, the actress in New York to promote a short film she directed and Kutcher partying in San Diego people suggest it's more what the couple haven't been tweeting that really matter. Neither Kutcher nor Moore, both prolific users of Twitter, wrote anything on their anniversary.
"Demi's finally ready to move on after all these years because she's sick of feeling like she can't trust Ashton," reports an insider and it is also claimed that "Ashton was a serial cheater, and Demi just couldn't take it anymore. She didn't deserve to live that way. It's a painful time for Demi." So does this mean the end of the age gap celebrity couple? Who knows as of yet the couple have not commented on the rumours of a split.
