Angelina Jolie's new movie upsets Cinema Audience

Bosnian Muslims felt that the movie brought back memories

Audience members at a Bosnia Cinema were shocked at Angelina Jolie's new movie "In the Land of Blood and Honey" as it tore up emotions about the Bosnian War. The movie which is said to be extremely realistic and graphic has been exclusively released in the Bosnian city of Sarajevo, where the conflict occurred, a week before going on general release.

The cinema audience, who were said to be mainly Bosnian Muslims felt that the movie brought back memories of one of the worst conflicts in post World War 2 Europe, the events took placed between April 1992 and December 1995 and saw around 100,000 - 110,000 deaths take place.

One cinema goer said that they felt "as if the war were still going on", and even Director Angelina Jolie said she felt responsible for bringing the story home to her generation.

In the Directorial debut by actress Angelina Jolie, "In the Land of Blood and Honey" follows a love story set against the background of the Bosnian War, it stars Goran Kostić (Of Gods and Men, Captifs) as Danijel, Zana Marjanović (Summer in the Golden Valley , Snow) as Ajla and Rade Šerbedžija (Eyes Wide Shut, Stigmata) as Nebojsa.

The movie has caused some controversy with some Bosnian Serbs asking for the movie to be banned because they believe the movie shows them as villains.

The movie is released on 23rd December.
