I am a student currently studying Journalism and English at University.
Bassist, Drummer, Producer involved a few musical projects but also an enthusiast (and aspiring critic) of pretty much all genres of music, Specialising in Rock, Metal, Rap/Hip-Hop and Reggae as well as computer and video games.
I'm Elise Robinson, a singer from a boring village somewhere between Bedford and Luton. I've had eight years of vocal coaching, the last three of which were with Colin Fraser from a cappella group The Magnets. I've just finished a gigging across the UK with my alt/rock band Embrace The City, as three of us have just started university.
I'm beginning my degree in graphic design. I'm hoping to raise Luton and Bedford's profile as awesome destinations for live music through Fit4Talent and publicise some of our home grown talent. A word of warning - I will be the harshest critic of vocals possibly in the history of time. Meaningful lyrics that give a song purpose, along with technical ability, will win me over!
I'm 23 years old but living each year like it's my 18th (not the obsessive drinking). My main hobby is hunting my local town which, being a main brewing town is full of bars (I'm not helping that drinking statement am I ?!). No, these bars have constant live music across the board, from open mic nights, indie/folk nights to my favourite rock and heavy metal at well known bar "The Appleby".
I've worked for a radio station purely for unsigned artists, so don't believe all you hear about metal-heads JUST listening to metal.... We love all sorts.
Happy-go-lucky and enjoying life, music gets me through everything, it's extremely important.
Hi, my name is Grant Tissot. I am currently about to begin my final year of my Sports Journalism degree at University. I have been sport mad my whole life. When I'm not playing it, I am talking about it so I am determined to get a job in the media side of sport day (fingers crossed!).
I feel it's important to not be a one trick pony however and just focus on sport. During my time at University I have written reviews on movies, music and television shows for my University radio station alongside writing Boxing reviews for an Irish boxing site.
I'm interested in writing for fit4talent purely because I have the utmost respect for talented individuals, whatever their art may be! Other than that I'm just a normal 22 year-old guy who loves spending time doing random, fun things with the people I care about.
Hi, my name is Hannah Collins, originally from Middlesbrough but currently live in Preston. I am a student hoping to pursue my dreams in Journalism, alongside this; I am a senior reporter at the university's student newspaper which has been a great venture to be involved with. Outside of work I enjoy reading, keeping fit and socialising with friends.
I am hoping Fit4Talent will expose my passion and ability for writing and allow my skills to develop with a professional company. I am a committed and conscientious person who strives upon achieving results to the best of my ability.
Mother to three, grandmother to three and a very outgoing and enthusiastic person. Based in Milton Keynes but having lived all over the world growing up, I have seen many sights and lived through many experiences and I take these with me through day to day living. I enjoy going to the theatre seeing new productions. I also enjoy going to local live music events seeing what local talent we have around us.
I currently work in a school as a teaching assistant, something I have done for the past 16 years. Writing for Fit4Talent means I can express my views on many different areas in the entertainment industry and I can gain new knowledge whilst enjoying other editors work too. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces.
I am 25 and live in Birmingham. I love all things to do with the arts and when not performing with my band and generally jumping around like a loon on stage myself, will happily watch and appreciate the talents of others.
My interests cover both performing and creative arts, and you'll just as likely find me at an art gallery as a theatre or a live music venue.
I'm Lizzie Baker, currently studying Magazine Journalism at Southampton Solent University. Whilst studying on my course I have written several articles for the university's newspaper and I have also taken on editorial skills including magazine design.
Music is my main passion in life. I have what you would call an eclectic selection of music on my iPod, from Marina and The Diamonds to The Blackout.
If I could sing or play the drums then I would be in a band, instead I see to my love for music through writing about it and sharing that desire with others.
Hi, my name is Lucky Jackson. I'm originally from Folkestone, England but and currently living in Markham, Ontario. I am a singer/songwriter wishing to pursue my dreams of becoming world renowned for my songs. I am also a keen writer and hope to someday be a published author. Apart from music and writing I also enjoy reading, sports, travel, food and real ale.
I am hoping to gain experience from writing for Fit4Talent as one of my many ambitions is to become a published writer. I am also hoping that Fit4Talent will recognise my musical abilities and help further my career.
I love anything to do with the music business, currently i'm trying to establish myself as a band photographer and over the last few months, i've photographed a few bands and received great reviews.
I was in a band myself quite a few years ago, it wasn't about 'making it' back then, it was all about sharing experiences and earning a little beer money.
Since then my musical tastes have broadened and I've seen trends come and go, I have three books for sale, two of which are photographic portfolios, one about the band "Manc Floyd" and the other is on "Chris Connor" who is , in my opinion the worlds greatest Elvis Presley Tribute.
Brought up on a weird mix of Outlaw Country, Paul Simon, Elton John and The 'Stones most of my first memories revolve around music. I picked up the guitar aged 13 and, 25 years later still can't really play the thing very well.
So instead of being an international rock star I spend my time devouring other people's music, writing about it, dabbling in promotion and management and helping to organise charity festivals.
I am also a professional photographer (specialising in performance / band photography), father of two kids (both of whom are developing excellent musical taste), husband and hold down a full time job. Life is busy but I love it that way!
Hi, my name is Paul Wise, a Scouser who actually lives in Liverpool. I am an actor hoping to pursue my dreams in theatre, TV and film, alongside this, I co-run Fit4Talent, which has been a great venture to be involved with. Outside of work I enjoy playing football, recently playing for an eleven a side team in a Brussels Amateur League(ABBSA). I also enjoy watching football, concerts and theatrical productions. I am hoping to take Fit4Talent to a high level within the entertainment industry, ensuring we support talent in the best way possible.
My philosophy in life is "If you don't have a go, you will never know" which is why I want help people who have a go to achieve success.
Rachel started out as a Media graduate back in 2003, hoping to become a journalist or a radio DJ. As luck would have it, a new station Bolton FM were taking on trainees.
After months of training and reading the news, Rachel was finally given her own slot on a Sunday morning, but this was not enough. Rachel had a burning passion for music, bands and festivals having been an avid festival goer for most of her late teens/ early 20's. Rachel then received a call from Bolton FM asking her to present and produce a show that would cover all UK unsigned talent. Success paid off when Rachel created the Bolton FM Battle of the Bands competition in 2010 and paved the way for success in 2011.
Rachel has a genuine passion for music, and more importantly and interest in promoting raw, unsigned talent. She now presents and runs the Unsigned show with 96.5 Bolton FM every Wednesday 8-10pm. Listen onlline at www.boltonfm.com
Shaun Hand is a musician, songwriter, poet, author, DJ, producer, ex-barman and sharply-dressed misfit. He drifted aimlessly until one weekend when, aged 23, he was sacked from the retail job he hated and the indie/punk band he'd assumed he would conquer the world with split up - all within 24 hours.
